A little story about Little Oak
Beautifully designed from the ground up, Little Oak Early Learning Centre is a place like no others. Our state of the art environments allow children to truly immerse themselves in the beauty of nature, be inquisitive, explore and have fun.
When you visit Little Oak you will notice the beautiful English oak tree in our playground. This tree has been a valued part of the Werribee community for decades and inspired the name for our centre. Not only is it symbolic of our connection to nature, strength & growth, but our connection to the wider Werribee community.
Little Oak is proudly family owned and operated. Led by highly-qualified and passionate educators, our Early Learning Programs have been designed to support the individual learning and development of each child, meet milestones, make friends, connect with the natural environment and have FUN!
Creating something special for children is our purpose and we’d love you to be a part of our journey.
Why choose us
Education
Our program and practice proudly embeds the Reggio Emilia Approach, international teaching and is guided by the National Quality Framework - Being, Belonging & Becoming.
We pride ourselves on fostering strong relationships with children, families and Werribee community. Our educators work collaboratively with families to support the unique learning and development needs for each child. We keep families updated regularly with their child’s learning and the fun they’ve had at Little Oak during the day.
Children are competent and capable learners. Their creativity, desire to learn and natural curiosity provide endless opportunities for them to learn & grow. Our role as educators is to support each child to reach their potential through our environments, programs and experiences. The first five years of a child’s life are arguably the most important which is why we provide an exceptional program for the early years. Our kindergarten program has been designed to support each child to be school-ready, to prepare them for the next step in their learning journey.
Designed to Inspire
The environment plays an important role in children’s learning and development and we wholeheartedly believe that the environment is the third teacher. With brand-new environments and natural resources our centre provides children with the opportunity to learn, discover and explore.
Our environments are designed to inspire and encourage the children to choose their learning through project & play based, open-ended actives and experiences. Each play space is filled with high-quality, natural and age-appropriate resources for the children to enjoy. Our sleep and rest areas are calm, and soothing spaces for children to rest, sleep or unwind.
We are so lucky to have the newly upgraded Galvin Park Reserve right on our doorstep which we can explore on our excursions. At every point,we have been guided by our philosophy of maintaining and fostering a connection with nature.
